If you are attempting to login to the AppCenter and receive an error message "The remote server returned an unexpected response: (417) Expectation Failed.", here is how you resolve that.  

1. - First, go to your Internet Options/Properties area​. [We are looking to locate your LAN (Local Area Network) settings.]

(In Internet Explorer, click Tools and select Internet Options.  Choose the Connections tab and select LAN settings at the bottom of the page) 

(In Google Chrome, click the Tools menu  , select Settings, and click the Under the Hood tab.  In the "Network" section, click Change proxy settings.)

2. - Once you have your LAN settings window open, find the area titled "Proxy server" and uncheck the box next to "Use a proxy server for your LAN"  Once box is unchecked, hit OK.


3. - You should now be able to sign into the AppCenter and download your desired software.
