There are two ways to engage in Team Scoring.
Ask a Qualifying Question (this solution article)
Ask a question like: “Which team are you on?” and give the audience a couple of answers, that represent your team names.
Create a Participant List with Close-Ended Descriptor (link to related article)
Create a Participant List (Tools --> Manage Participant List) with a close-ended descriptor (e.g. “Teams”) and fill out the team assignment for each participant.
This Solution article is about the "Ask a Qualifying Question"
First, whenever you need to refresh yourself on this, you can go to https://meridiaars.com/trainingvideos to watch the "Team Assignment" videos on our YouTube channel.
Let's get started.
1.) First, you have to ask the question: "Which team are you on?" Simply insert any of the regular EZ-VOTE polling slides, change the text and voila:
2) Now you have to tell the software to remember the teams and which slide is used to specify the teams. Go to Tools --> Settings:
Find the Team Settings and select Assign By drop-down and choose "Question Slide":
3) You're almost ready. At this point, you don't have to do anything else. Points will be tracked down to the keypads that score the points and awarded to the teams the keypads chose in the beginning. Reports will show the team scores if you generate them from the Reports menu:
4) However, you probably will want to show off the points to incite a little friendly competition, right? Insert the Team Score slide to do just that:
Each time you insert the Team Score slide throughout the presentation, the points displayed will be an accumulation of all the previous points collected so far.
Also, just a reminder: the points are awarded based on the percentage of the TEAM that answered the question correctly.
For example, if 50% of the TEAM answers correctly, and point value for the question is 100, then the TEAM will receive 50 points.
