Create a non-consecutive Participant List

Modified on Wed, May 21 at 6:39 AM

PROBLEM

Perhaps you own keypads 1 - 300 and would like to borrow from another organization their set that goes from 501 to 650, but you don't want the Participant List (PL) to include the 'gap' from 301 to 500 so that the voters don't have to worry about 'why is there a block of voters who never vote?'

SOLUTION

In TownVOTE, on the Participants page, start by entering the Keypad Range (1, 2) of any of the groups, 1 - 300 or 501 - 650 and click Add (3). This will create the first segment of the PL and if you started with 1 - 300, you should have Count: 300 shown in the top-right corner of the list (4).

Now add the second segment: 501 - 650 (5) and click Add (6).

Now the Count should be 450 (7) and there should be no keypads (Keypad IDs) between 300 and 501.
