This issue has been resolved in the newest version of EZ-VOTE Connect.
Is this the error you received?
Then it's possible you've modified the polling slide beyond what's admissible within the EZ-VOTE software.
The problem is with removing certain elements on the slide that make up the "data structure" that we use to track the votes collected from the keypads.
In order to prevent this, the safest way to leave the core components of the website intact is to copy and paste (or duplicate) a working slide and then change it's content. Duplication works beautifully even if the original slide already has data in it - the copy will be 'empty' and ready to be polled in just a few seconds.
These are the three critical objects on every EZ-VOTE slide: Question Text, Answer Text, and Chart/Graph.
You can edit inside the Question and/or Answer text, but never delete the objects itself. Yes, PowerPoint will replace the missing text box, but it's not longer tied to the voting data coming from the keypads and collected by EZ-VOTE.
Edit the content quickly if you just click inside the text box, press CTRL + A (as in highlight "All") and immediately start typing, replacing the default text. You can also selectively highlight any portion of the text and only replace individual items (e.g. one answer).
