Reduce PowerPoint presentation file (image, video, media) size

Problem

Sometimes the CloudVOTE import fails even if the file size is under the 150MB limit.


Solution

Try to reduce the size of your PowerPoint (PPTX) file by reducing/compressing the size of the media (images, videos) in your slideshow.


First, if you have any videos in your presentation, you should try this solution.

To reduce the size of the images, follow these simple steps:


NOTE: Make a backup copy of your presentation, so that you can go back to the original, if you see undesirable image quality in the final/compressed presentation.


1) Double-click on any of the pics in your presentation (doesn't matter which one). Use the "Picture Format" tab on the Ribbon and click on Compress Pictures button.



2) Uncheck the "Apply Only to This Picture" option and select the lowest resolution (Email), click OK and save your file (under a different name, if you haven't already made a copy:
