Problem
What elements of a PowerPoint slide does CloudVOTE detect (parse) and recognize?
Solution
CloudVOTE can parse both regular PowerPoint slides (not created with Meridia's EZ-VOTE plugin) and interactive EZ-VOTE slides made for our wireless clickers.
When creating a regular PowerPoint presentation, you should use the "Title and Content" slide for your questions (interactive slides), so that CloudVOTE can parse the information correctly and easily for you. If you use the Title and Content layout, we'll be able to determine which part of the slide is the Question and which part are the answers, and how many there are.
If a slide contains the "EZ-VOTE Objects", such as Chart, Vote Counter, or Countdown Clock, CloudVOTE will remove those during the process of importing the PPTX file to your portal.
We'll also detect which piece of text is the Question (the top "Title" box) and which text represents the Answers (the "Content" box with bullets) and how many there are.
CloudVOTE will also know which answer was set to correct, if any, and how many points have been assigned to it.
Thus the parsing process saves you time in your Slide Review, so that you can import the PowerPoint file and get to voting in CloudVOTE in no time!
