How to keep score and show the winners' Leading Participants (leaderboard)

Modified on Tue, Jun 20, 2017 at 4:05 PM

Sometimes, you just want to have some fun with the audience response system.

No complications with teams, just a simple, yet entertaining trivia or test.

But how do you know who's winning?

Here’s how you can easily set up a game with points, correct answers and cumulative leaderboard.

(See attached sample PPTX for your reference)

When you ask a question where you want to keep score, you must select at least one correct answer.

Do that from the Object drop-down.

You can ask as many questions as you want, each with a correct answer and points assigned to it (by default, it’s 100 points per correct answer).

Then, insert a Leading Participant slide if you want to see the current standing of the top 5 participants (or top 10, if you change it in Tools --> Settings).

As you can see from the attached example, you can insert a Leading Participant slide multiple times throughout the presentation.

The results shown on this slide will be cumulative.

In the attached example, on slide 2 (Question 1), one person answered correctly and one incorrectly. The score was 100 to 0.

On slide 4 (Question 2), both answered correctly, which makes the score 200 to 100.
