This problem just came to our attention on 8/16/17 at 4:00PM EST.
We believe the issue has risen from a server-side update on Microsoft's Windows Update server(s), which caused the EZ-VOTE (MyVOTE) USB base to stop being detected/recognized as a "USB Input Device" and instead, it's been assigned a "USO150" name.
Additionally, the problem is that the "USO150" device appears only in the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" category in Device Manager, and is not listed in the correct "Human Interface Devices" category.
To fix the problem, simply go back to Device Manager (open File Manager, then right-click on This PC --> Manage --> Device Manager)
Look for "USO150" under the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" category:
Right-click on it and select Update Driver. There will be two options - select "Browse my computer..."
On the next screen, select "Let me pick from a list..."
On the next screen, select "USB Input Device" and click Next:
You should see a success message. Click Close:
Validate/verify that the installation is complete by returning to Device Manager and now the USB Input Device should be listed under the "Human Interface Devices" category:
At this point, you should be able to go back to PowerPoint, go to EZ-VOTE tab and find the base already detected (the Connectivity Indicator will be green).
If it's not, simply click Refresh List in our Base Manager (Tools --> Base Manager) and you'll be all set:
