How to Distinguish Between a Web Participant ID and Keypad ID in Hybrid Meeting (Reports)?

Problem

When you just finished a hybrid polling session using the Connect software and your CloudVOTE subscription, you won't find the reports from that session on your local hard drive.

Instead, the report will be available instantly after the session is over in your CloudVOTE account (my.cloudvote.com).

But how do you identify who was a web participant and who was using a keypad?

Solution

It's quite easy, actually. Log into your CloudVOTE account and click on Reports. Once there, find the Session you want the report from and click the "Individual Responses" report below the thumbnail:

On the report page, even before you export it to one of the external formats (Excel, Word, PDF, etc.), you can see the difference in "User ID" clearly - the Keypad ID will always be a NUMBERS-ONLY string, while the anonymous Web Participants will be assigned a random ALPHA-NUMERIC ID:

We have plans to unify the use of a Participant List (PL) between the CloudVOTE and Desktop applications, so that you can see the names of individuals participating in your sessions, if (and only if) you choose to use that feature.

Today, you can only use a separate PL on the desktop and another one on the web.
