Firs of all, instructions must be clear, short and easy to follow.
We've seen people literally enter "enter code here" instead of entering the Join Code itself in the login, so be as specific as you can be.
First, take away any confusion and DO NOT send your participants to: www.cloudvote.com, or even my.cloudvote.com. The main site is mostly meant to be a marketing destination that talks about CloudVOTE, the product.
The second URL (my.cloudvote.com) is better, but it still opens your participants to the possibility of trying to log into your CloudVOTE account with their email and whatever password they think is correct.
They don't need any of that. They just need a Join Code and one field to enter it in - the Join a Poll page:
