AppCenter - Registration & Base Activation Procedures

[THIS ARTICLE ONLY APPLIES TO ACTIVATION PROCESS FOR EZ-VOTE 2 AND OTHER APPS FROM THE INTERACTIVITY SUITE AND GAME SUITE]

Getting Started

Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3:

1.) Activate your base license (one-time)

2.) Download software (one-time per app)

3.) Learn how to use the software (as needed)

Meridia AppCenter – The Starting Point
Visit http://meridiaars.com/appcenter and follow the Step 1 - download and run the Activation app (there may be a few security warnings that you’ll need to click through).

Once the Activation app is running, it should look like this:

Figure 1 - Notice that on the initial run, there's no license expiration date and no applications are be highlighted as "Activated"

License (Base) Activation

This step is NOT applicable to Get Feedback customers. Please go back to the AppCenter website (www.meridiaars.com/appcenter) and scroll to the bottom of the page to download Get Feedback!

Activate your license by simply entering your base serial number exactly as it appears on the back of the base receiver and clicking Activate.
Base serial numbers are found on the back of the USB device that came with your system and will look like this:
  • 04A7EE (ProVOTE Classic)
  • B11XXXXXXX (MyVOTE and MyVOTE LCD)
  • 900XXXXX (ProVOTE 2)
  • 219XXXXX (ProVOTE TXT)

After a moment, you should see the Activation app screen reflect what you ordered - the boxes containing the icons for the software that you have purchased licenses for will "highlight" in a lighter blue and will read "Activated". That's it. Your software is now licensed.

Figure 2 - The number of licenses, activated bases and software will be shown.

Software Download

Close the Activation app and go back to download your audience response software from the AppCenter website.

Simply click on the icon corresponding to the app you want to download and then run it.

Follow the prompts and click through any security warnings that may pop-up. Our software is tested and malware-free, so there’s nothing to be worried about.

NOTE: All EZ-APPS with the exception of EZ-VOTE will launch automatically after the installation. Get Feedback software will behave similar to EZ-VOTE: it will install, but you need to launch PowerPoint to access the Get Feedback functions in the Add-Ins tab (Meridia tab in EZ-VOTE).

After you learn the software you ordered, feel free to come back to the AppCenter and try other software – there’s always so much you can do with your audience response system! The ‘unlicensed’ software will run in Demo mode, but will be fully functional to enable you to explore as much as you can.

Learn, Practice, Repeat

One should never stop learning. In order to get really good at what you’re doing, you should take some training classes available to you on our website: www.meridiaars.com/support.  Just click on the Training link.

If you’re stuck in EZ-VOTE or Get Feedback, just click on the Help menu on the right side of the toolbar within the application and select Search User Guide. Search the manual by your desired keyword by pressing CTRL + F.
