Common roadblocks to begin using your ARS

Like every company, every computer is different, therefore there may be a few reasons preventing you from downloading and using your ARS software.

We have compiled this list of common issues that we found customers are having getting their programs up-and-running:

Your computer must meet the minimum requirements for your computer to run the ARS software. Please click the link to this article to check if you comply. http://tiny.cc/ars-systemrequirements

Have you Activated your Base yet? Complete this step on each computer that you install your ARS software on. Otherwise, the base will not collect votes or will operate in a Simulated mode. Click this link to read how to Activate the Base. http://tiny.cc/ars-activatebase

If the Activation was successful, if you still cannot find your base listed in Base Manager in your PowerPoint ARS Add-In, or one of the EZ-APPS is reporting that it cannot detect the base during start up, you may have a driver issue. Your ProVOTE Classic base may not be recognized because there are other COM devices interfering with the USB receiver. Click the link to this article to research it further. http://tiny.cc/ars-comconflict

This does not apply to ProVOTE 2, ProVOTE TXT and MyVOTE, or MyVOTE LCD keypads.
