Our clients with Smart Board interactive software have been experiencing issues after installing the EZ-VOTE application.
The order of installation of these programs, as well as the version of Windows (XP, Vista, 7 or 8) and Office (2007, 2010, or 2013) doesn't seem to matter.
As a result, the PowerPoint application crashes immediately after displaying the EZ-VOTE splash screen and closes.
A solution was found in upgrading the SmartBoard application to version 11.3 (September update).
Please make sure that your installation of SmartBoard says something like this:
As well, once SmartBoard is installed, please verify in your Windows Control Panel, under Smart Board settings that in the About dialog, your version is at least 11.3, like in this screen shot:
