The ARS slide is broken and doesn't work, or gives you an error

Are you getting an error about "slide inconsistencies"?

Does the chart/graph look odd and crooked when the question is inserted?

If any of the symptoms above are present, or if your ARS slide isn't working the way it should, it's possible that one of the three critical elements of the polling slide may be missing.

They are main elements are:

One: The Question (question text box)

Two: The Answers (answer text box)

Three: The Bar Graphs (chart object)

If one of these elements are missing, the slide is considered "broken" and will no longer work properly.

Create a new slide and cut and paste your info into it.

If you still believe you have the correct number of ARS elements on the slide, try Clearing Responses (Tools --> Clear Responses).

(You may have to collect votes elsewhere in the presentation in order to clear responses in the entire presentation)

Clearing responses tends to reset and clear any errors on each slide:

During this process, you will create a new presentation, or you can overwrite your existing one. Be careful overwriting something you may want to go back to in the future!

If Clear Responses didn't help, you can use the Reset ARS Data function in the Tools menu:

During this process, you will create a new presentation, or you can overwrite your existing one. Be careful overwriting something you may want to go back to in the future!

Technical Information

Our EZ-VOTE software inserts specific "polling objects" into the slide that are tagged and tracked for data collection and reporting purposes.

If you delete any of the these objects, PowerPoint will replace them with one of its own and while they may look like the original ARS object, they're now a 'plain' PowerPoint element and will not operate correctly.
