How many answer choices can I have on an ARS slide?

Modified on Thu, Nov 20, 2014 at 1:35 PM

Short answer:  10 unless you are using EZ-Vote Elections

In depth answer: It depends on what software/keypads you are using.  Most of our software is limited to 10 answers for ease of operation.  Most multiple choice questions are well under 10 options and our keypads only go up to 10, so it is logical to only allow 10 answer options per slide.  However in certain situations such as elections and nominations, it would be helpful to have more than 10 answer options  because there may be more than 10 candidates.  That is why our EZ-Vote Elections software (combined with our MyVote LCD and ProVote TXT* keypads) allows up to 30 answer options in the Elections slide.  This software "instructs" the keypads to accept multi-digit answers

*MyVote LCD and ProVote TXT keypads are the only keypads we currently offer that allow multi-digit voting.  They have an "ok" button that you press after you have entered all of the digits of the number of your choice.
