Problem
On specific computers, the installation of EZ-VOTE Connect may seem to have finished successfully, but the user still cannot see the EZ-VOTE tab on the PowerPoint toolbar (ribbon).
In another case, the tab may be visible, but EZ-VOTE actions (e.g. Insert Slide) may not be fully functional. Additionally, your inserted slides may not not show the chart/graph object correctly and polling functions may not work on the slides.
Solution
In this case, your installation probably didn't finish as successfully as it seemed at first.
To fix this, have your IT (or any user with Admin rights) find the "setting2.mer" file in a folder called "Settings" that apparently has not been copied/accessible for all users.
The "Settings" folder can be located in C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Meridia\EZ-VOTE\ folder (where "USER" is an actual username of the non-admin user who needs to run the EZ-VOTE Connect and EZ-VOTE plugin apps).
You can also find the Settings folder attached to this Solution in ZIP format. Simply extract the contents, which will create the Settings folder with two individual files. Copy the entire folder to your EZ-VOTE folder per instructions below:
Copy the entire Settings folder and paste it into the user's own C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Meridia\EZ-VOTE\ folder.
Verification
If everything was done correctly, you should be able to go to EZ-VOTE toolbar in PowerPoint, click the Insert Question drop-down, select True/False slide and in the process of slide creation, you will see an Excel window pop up on the screen, the slide should insert with a chart and the bullets should be formatted according to your settings - e.g. A. B. C. or 1. 2. 3.
