Helpful Windows Keyboard Shortcuts

This article will help you learn how to 'jump' to various commands in Windows in a matter of seconds, without ever letting your hands/fingers leave the keyboard.

Some of our absolute favorites:

+ D = Hide all windows, no matter how many you have opened, to see the Desktop icons.

+ UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT ARROW = arranging your open windows so that they split in half and allow you to see two things at once is invaluable.

+ E = Open File Explorer, then press CTRL + E to go straight to the search bar. You can also just press the Windows Key and start typing - but often the results are not what you were looking for.

+ L = Walking away from your computer? Lock it!

+ TAB = Like ALT + TAB, but better, plus you can go back in time and see what you were working on last week. Pretty amazing!

+ 1 - 0 = Quickly jump through your open apps, or launch the one that you've moved to the left side of your Taskbar. To move an icon, just drag it to the desired position. Also helpful: right-click an "Pin to Taskbar".
