Problem
When you come to a voting slide in PowerPoint with EZ-VOTE Plugin, no votes come through, the chart and other elements are already visible and the countdown doesn't work.
This issue came to our attention around August-September 2022 and is limited to certain subset of Microsoft Office products. There has been an update to Microsoft's internal 'Interop Assemblies' that apparently breaks the EZ-VOTE Plugin functionality when you open your slideshow by double-clicking on it.
Solution
Instead of double-clicking on the slideshow to open it, open PowerPoint first (without opening any specific file). Then find your presentation in the Recent List and open it from there. Everything will work just fine.
Everything also works when you're just starting to build your presentation from scratch. However, when you save it and then open it via a double-click, it stops working - so you have to close the file and open it from the Recent List.
You can open PowerPoint from an icon on your Desktop, or if it's already pinned to the Taskbar, find and click on it there. If it's nowhere to be found, just click on the Start button and immediately start typing "PowerPoint" and after the first few letters, you should see the PowerPoint icon in the Search Results.
In case this is the first time you're trying to open a file you had saved on your computer (e.g., something you've worked on a while back and saved to your Documents folder), you have no choice but to double-click on it, then close it immediately and now you can find it in the Recent List.
