Protecting Your Keypads from Dirt and Damage

Modified on Thu, Feb 5 at 12:47 PM

PROBLEM

Some customers are concerned with damage and mistreatment that may occur to keypads during events.  Along with damages, the keypads getting dirty is another factor to consider.  Towns such as Longmeadow and Templeton, Massachusetts have implemented a clever solution for this problem; protective plastic coating.

SOLUTION

In the picture below, you can see a keypad covered by a protective plastic coating.  This coating needs to be 3" by 4" in order to fit our 5 button EXT-S keypads.  Use of this coating means that you will no longer be able to store the keypads in our Meridia carrying cases.  Also, use of a lanyard is strongly recommended as the plastic coating tends to make the keypad slippery.  Here is a link to where you can buy the protective plastic on amazon.
