Problem

Something went wrong, EZ-VOTE PowerPoint plugin doesn't work the way it should and the root cause is unknown.

Solution

First rule of computer troubleshooting: Reboot.

In this case, we mean start from default settings and repair your Office installation, and you could also remove and then reinstall EZ-VOTE Connect, just for good measure.

NOTE: We'll refer to the Windows 10 interface in the following instructions. Windows 7 and 8 may have different names for the area where all your programs are listed and can be uninstalled/repaired from.

To repair Office 365 (2013 and up), go to your 'Add or remove programs' control panel. Find the control panel in your Start Menu by simply typing the word "programs" in the search bar:

Once in the control panel, you want to narrow-down the list of all programs to just those related to Office. Type "office" in the search bar and you should come up with "Microsoft Office 365..." (each version will be different, so don't go solely by our screenshot:

After you clicked on the Modify button, you should see this dialog (below). First try the faster, Quick Repair option, but if it doesn't fix the problem at hand, use the slower, but more thorough Online Repair method:

After you've repaired Office, you may want to uninstall/reinstall our EZ-VOTE Connect app, as well. This will reset any broken links between our plugin and Microsoft PowerPoint.
