In very rare cases, you may experience a situation when your ARS system is working perfectly fine one day and then the next day, the base seems to be "disconnected" from its clickers.
We're looking into the problem and so far, we have narrowed it down to a sporadic hardware issue where the base enters into a "SignIn" mode accidentally.
In such case, the base is unable to communicate with the keypads until you reset it back to normal "polling" mode.
While they don't have a permanent solution, we were able to implement a patch in our EZ-VOTE software that lets you reset the base if it ever 'disconnects' from its keypads again.
It's as simple as going to the Tools --> Base Manager menu, clicking on the Advanced Settings button and then clicking the "Exit Background Signin" button.
You should get a confirmation message as shown below. Close the window and click Refresh List, then Test Keypads.
