You may encounter this problem whenever:
- There's a problem recognizing your PowerPoint template's Slide Master layout
- When EZ-VOTE cannot insert the "Title & Text" layout slide into the presentation
- or when you're using a presentation created in incompatible version of EZ-VOTE
Depending on the specific template, and version of EZ-VOTE, you may experience a visual and functional problem that may look something like this:
You'll notice that the chart doesn't appear correctly drawn, or to scale. Some elements are 'crunched' against each other, squeezed or otherwise deformed.
Even if you try to poll on such slide, it won't work correctly.
The best and quickest solution is to copy all slides from your current (broken) presentation and paste them into a brand-new one, using the "Use Destination Theme" Paste method:
Simply follow these steps:
- highlight all slides (CTRL + A), then copy (CTRL + C)
- create a new file (CTRL + N)
- paste slides (using the "Use Destination Theme" method above)
You should be able to create a proper, working ARS slide in the new presentation and use your clickers without any problems.
To apply your "old" theme to the new presentation, just follow the steps in this article (at the bottom).
