Problem
The Meridia Merge Tool throws an error when generating the merge file:
Solution
This is caused by the Excel/Office window that pops-up in the background and asks the user to log in, or enter a license key to activate the Office suite.
Usually, this happens after a fresh install of Office, or possibly an upgrade from one version of Office to another.
Solve this issue by registering your version of Office and/or signing into your Microsoft/Office365 work account.
Test if you've successfully resolved the issue by opening Excel alone - and if you don't see any prompts, or login screens, you can try to run the merge again.
